Location and Atmosphere:

Christiansted, a historic village on the northside of St. Croix, is where Hamiltons is situated. With magnificent views of the port and the vibrant Caribbean structures that line the coast, the restaurant is located directly on the ocean. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and there is a large terrace where you can take in the pleasant island wind. An welcoming environment is created by the sophisticated and beautiful design, nautical touches, and soft lighting. 

Cuisine Type and Quality:

Hamiltons specializes in modern Caribbean cuisine with an emphasis on local products and fresh fish. Dishes on the menu range from traditional island food to more creative and contemporary options. Everything we had was delicious, well-prepared, and fresh. The Grilled Mahi Mahi with Mango Salsa was the highlight dish; it was prepared to perfection and went exquisitely with the sweet and sour salsa. We especially adored the crunchy and flavorful conch fritters. 

Owners:

The charming husband and wife pair that own Hamiltons are enthusiastic about both cooking and hospitality. They gave us a warm welcome and made us feel at home. Every meal they offer reflects their pride in using native products and tastes from the island. They work hard to produce a dining experience that is both tasty and sustainable, and they are dedicated to helping regional farmers and fishermen.

Virgin Islands Retreat Pro Tip:

Hamiltons has a special “Farm to Table” meal series where they collaborate with nearby farmers to offer an unforgettable dining experience. We had the good fortune to attend one of these meals, and it was an experience we will never forget. We took pleasure in a multi-course lunch that included locally produced fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, and shellfish. Even the chef himself appeared to present each meal and explain the background of the ingredients. I strongly advise you to go to one of these meals if you have the chance.
